Team Preview

Returning to the Classic Great Oak features top commits Josh Paint (SS, St. Mary’s) and Zach Arnold (SS, Oregon). The Wolfpack won the De Anza League Title and went to the CIF SS Division VI finals in 2006. In 2014, they were Southwestern League champions adn reached the CIF SS DII quarter finals. The Wolfpack also shared the Southwestern League title in 2010, and have been CIFSS participants in five out of the last eight years. Great Oak has also won the Riverside County academic team award for baseball in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015.

Sr. | 6’2 | 200lbs Previous Season Stats: 3 - 2, 1.97 ERA, 53 IP, 29K Awards: Second Team All Southwestern League College Commit: Undecided Coaches Note: Cameron was called up to varsity during the middle part of his freshman year and has been on it ever since. He will be our number 1 pitcher this year and bat in the middle of our lineup. He has two quality pitches that he can throw for a strike anytime in the count. He is a great leader on our team.
Sr. | 6’2 | 185lbs Previous Season Stats: .397 Avg. 29 R, 15 RBI, 3 HR Awards: First Team All Southwestern League College Commit: University of Oregon Coaches Note: Zach is a very athletic player who can play every infield position. He will bat leadoff for us because of his ability to hit to all fields and speed on the bases. He is the one who gets our offense going.
Sr. | 5’11 | 180lbs Previous Season Stats: .300 Avg. 11 RBI Awards: Second Team All Southwestern League College Commit: St. Mary's University Coaches Note: Josh is a 3-year varsity player. He is one of the best defensive players to come out of Great Oak. He can play either middle infield position. Josh has a tremendous baseball IQ and does a lot of the little things right to help our team be successful.
Sr. | 5’9 | 155lbs College Commit: Cal Poly Pamona Coaches Note: Jesse has made tremendous progress over the last year. He has great range in the outfield and the ability to throw out runners. Offensively, Jesse makes a lot of things happen due to his speed.
