Team Preview
With four players selected in the MLB Draft since 2011, including Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Zach Davies, the Wildcats make their entrance into the Boras Classic led by Area Code Games participants and Top 350 ranked by Perfect Game seniors TJ Clarkson (LHP/1B, Utah) and Davis Heller (RHP/1B, Oklahoma). Mesquite also returns seniors Grant Gorrell (INF, Boise State) and Jacob Henderson (P/OF, Iowa).

Clarkson has tremendous power from the left side, playing a huge role for the Wildcats on offense and defense. The kid has a huge upside!

Previous Seasons Stats: 358 AVG, 492 OBP, threw out 32/42
Awards: 2nd Team All Region
DJ is the best catcher Mesquite has had. Controlling the pitching staff well, he’s a catch and receive player, there is no one better.

Awards: 2018 All Region 1st Team, 2nd Team All Conference

Breeze is hands down my best athlete on the field. He will be playing SS and probably a closer, sure to have a great season.

Heller is a player how is going to get paid to play this game in years to come. He has a “bulldog” mentality and he competes every time he is on the field.
